Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to be a member of Hidden Springs to sign up for lessons there?
No! You do not have to be a member to sign up for lessons at Hidden Springs.

Are the pools indoor or outdoor?
All pools for the Spring and Summer sessions are outdoor. Lessons will happen rain or shine, with the exception of lightening and thunder. Should you miss a lesson due to weather, please let us know as soon as possible. You may be able to make the lesson up at the later date, subject to availability, for an additional $10 fee per class.

Will my child be water safe after a session or two? Every child learns at a different rate so we can not predict or guarantee when your child will be water safe. We recommend consistency and frequency of lessons for best progress especially for our beginner students.

What level do I sign my child up for?
If your child does not like to put their face in the water or know how to hold their breath under water, they will be likely Starfish or Pufferfish levels.

If your child is comfortable in the water but not confident to swim on their own, we recommend starting at either Pufferfish or Turtles levels.

If you know your child can swim safely on their own but needs a refresher on strokes and proper side breathing, then start with the Snappers or Leatherbacks levels. More details on each level can be found on the lesson details.

If we find that the level is not the right fit for your child, we will try to accommodate a class change, based on availability.

Is there a registration fee? How do I pay for lessons?
Yes, there is an annual one time registration fee per family of $25 that will be applied to your account upon checkout.

You will add your class selection to your cart and can pay via credit card upon checkout.

If my children are both beginners, can they be in a private lesson together, even if they are 2 or 3 years apart in age?
Yes, as long as both your children are similar in levels, they can be in a private lesson together as long as they are older then 3 years old. For example, a 3 and 5 year old siblings are both beginners so they can share a private 30 min lesson.

If one child is 3 years old and the other is 2 years of age, we advise you to sign up for two separate lessons for the best progress.

What if I have a 5 and 10 year old who are beginners, can they share a private lesson?
