We love Coach Lu's swim school! All of the instructors that we have had have been great. My kids started lessons here at age 7 & 9 after years of parks & rec style lessons. They were both scared to put their faces in and couldn't do any strokes. I was so impressed to see them pass their swim test that first summer and make such great progress. We're on our 3rd summer here and they have reached the highest level. We love the private lessons, it works great for similar similarly skilled siblings.

This is our daughter’s first swim class (4 years old) and cannot say enough positive things. Coach Ryan is wonderful - he is so patient and she loves having him as her teacher. So grateful she gets to go to Lu’s 🙂

  1. Lu’s swim school has been transformative for both our kiddos and their swim skills across all strokes, water safety and being comfortable in the water. The coaching is specific and moves skills forward from rep to rep! As I write this I am watching and my son could not backstroke all the way across the pool, he received instruction and then zoomed straight across edge to edge!! Wow! 10/10 recommend you sign up now!

  2. We love this swim school. We have three kids (5, 11 and 14) and have tried many different places for swim lessons. Lu’s Academy is hands down the best. Our five year old went from floundering to swimming breast stroke in two weeks. Seriously. Our 11 year old is now thinking about joining a swim team. Friendly and knowledgeable coaches make each lesson fun for the kids and the parents.

  3. Highly recommend Coach Lu and her team. My kids, currently 9 and 7, started working with Coach Lu a few summers ago and have made so much progress. They just started on the swim team, and I could not be more grateful to Luan and her wonderful team. Not only are they extremely skilled swim instructors, but they are easy to work/schedule with and are some of the nicest people in the community. Thank you Lu!!!

  4. My girls absolutely loved swim lessons with Coach Kyle! Not only did he teach how to swim but he did so in such a fun way and the pool was absolutely amazing!

  5. Lu’s swim school is the best! She has taught 3 of my 4 kids to swim in the last 6 years and will teach my 4thi starting next year! I recommend everyone I know to coach Lu and her school! Thanks for making my kids great swimmers!

  6. We are so glad coach Lu is offering this life saving training. The coaches are all great . The multiple locations and times offered help you find the right match . The technique they use to teach swimming works great and even a my who wouldn’t put her head in the water is now a good swimmer after this summer . Coach Lu and Joy who schedules classes are both great and very helpful . A little more flexibility offering make up classes for groups lessons would be much appreciated if you can add the child to another group for the missed session.

  7. We love Coach Lu’s swim school! Lu and her teachers are patient, kind, and well respected by the students. Both my kids went from being non-water safe to water safe in one summer of private lessons. I appreciate how the coaches read cues from the kids, and adapt the lesson accordingly. I found the classes to be dynamic, engaging, and my kids had a ton of fun. We’ll definitely be back next summer!

  9. My boys, aged 6 and 8, thoroughly enjoyed their swimming lessons with Lu’s Swim School. My youngest child went from being afraid of water to confidently swimming in the deepest part of the pool in just one summer of consistent lessons. I appreciated the variety of coaches available, and we found the perfect one for our kids.

  10. Our daughter Dylan has been taking private swim lessons at Lu’s Swim School and she absolutely loves all the coaches, and looks forward to her lesson every week. After only about 12 lessons so far, she has made tons of progress and can already hold her breath under water, and is starting to learn to swim in small bursts with no floatation aid.

    Lu and her coaches are super patient and sweet with the kids, and I would highly recommend Lu’s Swim School to anyone with young children that want them to improve their swimming skills and become water safe.

  11. I am so thankful for Coach Lu and her staff. My 4 year old daughter started in the starfish 1 level and got the confidence to start swimming a few seconds without assistance by the 3rd day! We finished the week and she was able to skip a level and is now part of the turtle class! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for swim lessons.
